Livelihoods Enhancement Through Integrated Farming
Praja Pragati Trust, with the support of Azim Premji Foundation, implemented the “Livelihoods Enhancement Through Integrated Farming” project in 8 villages of Pallamala Panchayat and Krishnapuram ST Colony in B.N. Kandriga Mandal, Tirupati District. The project focused on promoting natural farming practices, improving irrigation facilities, strengthening livelihoods, and enhancing the income of small and marginal farmers.



Project Objectives
1. Promote natural farming practices among small and marginal farmers
2. Reduce cultivation costs in paddy and groundnut crops
3. Promote second crop cultivation and diversified crop models
4. Bring fallow lands under cultivation
5. Improve irrigation and sustainable farming systems
Achievements
1. Natural farming concepts introduced among 445 eligible farmers
2. 50 farmers started practicing bio-fertilizer application
3. 15 model farmers developed across project villages
4. Borewells and open wells supported irrigation in nearly 60 acres
5. Agricultural machinery usage increased in 6 villages
6. Farmers strengthened linkages with government departments and agriculture institutions
